Q: When is my account updated when I do a transaction online?
A: Your account is updated when we post your banking transactions at night usually between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. CST. Although you can access your account information and do transactions between your accounts at almost any time, transactions are not posted in "real time." Q: How do I know if my online banking session is encrypted?
A: Your banking session is encrypted when a closed lock appears in the lower left corner of Netscape Navigator's window, or the lower right side of Microsoft Internet Explorer's window. When not in a secure session, Netscape's lock appears unlocked and Microsoft's lock is not visible.

Q: Is online banking safe?
A: When you log in to do online banking with us, your sessions are conducted in our "secure server" area using the latest Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) cryptography. SSL uses public key cryptography to secure transmissions over the Internet. All of your online banking sessions with us are encrypted. We only allow access to our online banking site if you are using a browser which uses at least 128-bit encryption. Browsers like Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer allow you to encrypt or scramble information as it leaves your computer and passes over the Internet. We use layers of security such as SSL, encryption, and a firewall that limits access to our secure area to authorized users only.
There are also security measures our customers should take to protect their bank account. These include changing your PINs or passwords regularly, memorizing PINs, keeping PINs a secret, and signing off when done.
